I can't wait to go. I hear it's a great regional with some tough competition= lots of fun!

Anything fun to do around the venue? We're staying to the Marriott connected to the convention center.

im excited... sort of. i can only hope that our robot will live up to the UTC NER standards... and let me tell you i am not looking forward to programming it.

dual targets + 3 closed PID loops + a slew of teams that wrecked the competition last year = some fierce competition

I dont know about directly at the venue, butexcept for a few teams playing ultimate frisbee and hackie sack, but last year was good because it landed on the same day as a parade so we watched that for a while

Remember, this year the Saturday of the event falls on St. Patrick's Day...so there are some surprises in store!!

It is actually really good that the St. Patrick's Day parade in Hartford is the same day. Last year, we were able to convince a bunch of kids from our high school who weren't involved in robotics to come check out the competition since the Convention Center isn't very far from the parade route.

I would encourage everyone to tell their peers to come see what it's like if they're going to be in Hartford already.

Convince your local legislators to stop by afterwards, also. Or better yet, convince them that attending the FIRST event is more important than marching in a parade! :)

I cant wait for the UTC Regional!

The new venue is so spacious, it reminds me a lot of Atlanta...

My day is during UTC eh? i guess i gotta go now *sigh* lol... plan on voulenterring if needed if not might stop by to see the local competition =P

I just found out that I will be home in Connecticut for my spring break this year, and that I will be able to attend the UTC Connecticut Regional! I am very excited because this means that I am now going to be able to spend time with The Who'sCTEKS for two out of their three events (I'm missing the New Jersey Regional).
