today went very well, i must admit. good luck to all the teams tomorrow!

(glad that we got our autonomous mode to work 3/7 times today... which is good considering our massive EMI, drivetrain, and transmission problems earlier)

40 is in 1st. 25 is top 5, maybe 4th?

The qualification day was a ton of fun! Competition is intense. So far they have not posted the results/schedule and the standings on the usfirst.org website.

All the teams have 10 matches, 6 today (Friday, depending on when you read this) and 4 on Saturday.

Speaking of Saturday, the regional has been delayed ONE hour because of the snow and sleet and the driving conditions in the weather. That means the pit opens at 9 AM and opening ceremonies at 10 AM.

Now it's time to go over scouting and then catch some zzzz's.

I would personally like to say thank you to team 176, Aces High, for the gracious perfessionalism that they demonstrated today.

In the middle of the competition, for various school, snow and board of education reasons, our team was forced to stop competing (for the rest of today, atleast). Thanks to an amazing team, we were still able to have our robot out on the field.

Thank you to the three drive team members on team 176 who stepped in to drive two matches with 177's robot. Without ever having driven the robot before, they were able to score a ringer, and play great defense!

Thank you guys so much,

This goes to show how awesome FIRST is.

I believe you speak for our entire team when you say that. Not only did Aces allow us to keep competing, but we also even won a round :D. Good work and thank you team 176.

Team 25 was crazy fast at scoring tubes!:yikes:
The snow really made it bad for some teams that had to go home. I feel bad for them. I got to sign Woodie Flower's shirt though (so did a lot of other people). Going 20 mph home on the highway was rough. :p

Whoa mike... our robot failed mechanically for 5 out of our seven matches and we are still in fifth on that list?

If I remember correctly you scored highly in a couple of matches, which pumped the average up.

Median would've been a more accurate representation I suppose... less resistant to outliers. I'm not crunching those again though :p

Team 1991 would like to thank all of the teams that showed sincere interest in the social that we had planned for tonight. As most of you know, we had to postpone it due to weather:(

However, we are all set up and ready to go for tomorrow (Saturday) night.:)
The details, once again:

FOOD: Pizza, drinks, snacks, dessert
DJ
DDR
XBOX (16 player on 4 projectors)
GAMES

Place: American School for the Deaf (12 minutes away from Convention Center)

Cost: $15 (we won Rookie All Star in NH, and any profits are to help get us there)

Come to our pit for tickets.... we need to know around how many people will come so that we can order food.

Thanks everyone for a couple of great days so far. We are having a blast!

DO you have the raw data that you used, if you do I would be interested in seeing it so I can check out the numbers.

So, I had a hell of a night. I only slept about an hour at a time and visited the porcelain gods four times. I think it was the hotdog I had for lunch yesterday. I'm not sure if I'm going to be able to make it today.
Did anyone else get struck down?

Oh man, I hope it's not a stomach bug going around. Our team had a couple of kids come down with that at NJ.
Feel better!
