Pneumatics are fairly simple to program and are run off of spikes. There have been quite a few posts similar to this one so in the future please search before you post, especially with such a general question.

Basically, the two main components, compressor and valves, are run off of spikes. The compressor only really needs to go in one direction, pumping into the tanks. The valves need two, one for pushing, one for pulling. Use spikes for both, and note that you only need to send a single pulse at a time to the valves, but you treat the compressor like a motor.
