Cannot "Grab frame" with java CMUcam2 GUI
 

I have accomplished getting the camera connected to the computer and verifying the connection via hyper terminal. I have downloaded the CMUcam2 GUI java program. When I launch the program I get the "checking for camera..." message in the console. The program finds the camera and gives me the prompt in the console type 7 ready. Now according to the manual the next step would be to grab a frame. When I do this it says "grab frame failed" and I have found no information on why this might occur so I was seeing if you might be able to find the time to help me. I am using a Serial-USB converter cable to connect the camera to a USB port on the computer; I was wondering if that connection might not be fast enough or effect the transfer of information in anyway. Besides the cable I am at a loss for why I cannot grab a frame seeing how I have taken all the necessary steps. If any one could lend a helping hand i would greatly appreciate it.
