Then there's always that 572 crate motor you can get from Chevy now.;)

Here's a pic I took today of the car I normally drive, my 1997 Camry LE. It's actually the only car I drive during the winter as the Mustang is stored in the garage and my Caprice wagon is parked behind it for the winter, that's why the wagon is clean and not covered with salt and sand. The Camry has the 2.2 liter 4cyl in it, perfect for the commuting I do, plus it goes through the snow pretty good. Currently showing just over 112k on it, but it has a little more on it as the odo doesn't count up at times when it gets bitter cold out. Other than that and one other minor electrical gremlin (can't lock the doors otherwise the factory alarm goes off!) it's a great car.

It's also paid off and I plan on running it into the ground.:)

It's a 2004.5 Mustang (40th Anniversary complete with the limited edition Arizona Beige stripes). It's got a Mach 1000 stereo, all leather seats, painted wheels to match the stripes, and the spoiler removed.

Bought it new when I was 16. :)

Sorry garage is a lil' messy. Haven't gotten around to cleaning it up.
It's an 07 Lexus IS 250. Pretty much brand spankin' new. Still waiting for license. Black obsidian exterior and black leather interior. Nav package with chromed wheels.

My other form of transportation, my trek road bike is hiding in the back.

Hopefully I'll be able to afford this soon...

Sorry, someone had to do it!:)

But seriously, my first car is probably going to be my dad's--a beat-up, rusty '92 Buick Regal. Yes, I'm serious. But hey, it'll probably be free!

Well, I wish that I would have seen this thread just a few weeks earlier...
My former vehicle and I ran into some less than desirable driving conditions and this is what happened:

It was rainy out and the roads were slick and I took a corner too fast and ended up rolling the truck over about one and a half times. It came to rest on the passenger side so I had to kick out the remainder of the windshield and climb out the opening. I was very lucky to come out of the wreck unscathed but my truck was a total loss. One of the big reasons that I was able to walk away from the crash was the fact that I was wearing my seatbelt. Let me take take this opportunity to tell all of you non-seatbelt wearers to buckle up! The last thing on my mind the night I rolled my truck over was rolling my truck over. But because I was classically conditioned to put my seatbelt on every time I got into a car, my life was saved. So, the next time you hop into a car, don't hesitate to put that annoying strap of fabric across your chest. You never know when it may just save your life.

Here's mine: (it's not an exact picture, but it's the same model)

Red i180 gen1 Segway with lithium battery packs, with the front handle-bag (not pictured). I wish they had a odometer on them, so I could know how many miles I've actually ridden it, but I'm sure it would be a lot.

As for a car, I'm still working and saving money, but it'll probably be a domestic pickup truck, with the F150 (4.6L V8 Triton) as my favorite. While I love most European cars (and will probably own one someday), your Aston Martin will never be able to be a haul firewood, plow snow, or tow heavy loads like a good ol' pickup truck. :D

Take care of german cars and they'll run forever. Everyone I know told me not to buy one, since they "break down so much". I've got 107k on the clock with regular maintenance. I'm replacing the timing belt (interference engine) this spring and all I need is oil change every 3,000 and I'm good for another 60k.

I've watched my friend veer off the side of the road doing around 70, up an incline and roll back down. After stopping and sprinting down the middle of the highway, I see him taking his head unit out of the car. The seatbelt saved him and his passenger's life.

No kidding. I don't remember my car having any problems outside of regular required maintenance.

2001 Dodge ram with the gas-guzzling 5.9L V8 which gives me a grand total of 8mpg! Quad cab, SLT, 4x4 with the studded tires in the winter, and BFG AT K/O's in the summer. Gonna get rid of that topper some day...

Very lucky Viking1902, glad to see you made it out fine. But I gotta say I love that 2nd pic, the expression on your face just says "Oh well, **** happens..."

It is a 1987 BMW 635csi euro edition.. And when i get it, i will nearly immediatly be outfitting it with headers, exhaust, an ignition system, and a cold-air intake.

and whoever said that well treated german cars rarely break... well, your not kidding.

The old 6-series are some of the most beautiful cars ever made. Nice choice there.
