yea i saw that i used that to help start our scouting sheet. Ours doesnt have that much detail but it allows you to easily write down some of the important information. Thanks for the start off.:)

Where do you get the team data before the competiton? Do you get it from the information on the usfirst.com site for regional teams?

Kudos to Greg for that excellent setup- that's what I found and brought to Palmetto for our scouting there- Team 16 (Bomb Squad) ended up picking us for their alliance partially because of our scouting, and we ended up making it to the third game of the finals with it. I highly recommend considering his (we're going to try and build our own this year, but we'll probably look at Greg's for inspiration and in case our's doesn't work).

We are using Pocket PCs to do some of the minor scouting and forms similar to previous years for the detailed scouting. The PCs will be used for keeping track of points scored and less detailed aspects of the robot. Then we can put it all on one excel sheet and not have to rummage through all the papers as in previous years. The other papers are used for comments and detailed descriptions of the robot.

We are trying to go back to our Palms that went haywire last year. We used MS Access the previous years, and we are going to try and get them back up and running. Anyone have any other options that we can use?

We have an Excel spreadsheet which anyone is welcome to use. The fields highlighted in yellow are editable, while the others use formulas.
