Where do you get the team data before the competiton? Do you get it from the information on the usfirst.com site for regional teams?

Re: 2007 Scouting Sheet
We are using Pocket PCs to do some of the minor scouting and forms similar to previous years for the detailed scouting. The PCs will be used for keeping track of points scored and less detailed aspects of the robot. Then we can put it all on one excel sheet and not have to rummage through all the papers as in previous years. The other papers are used for comments and detailed descriptions of the robot.

Re: 2007 Scouting Sheet
We are trying to go back to our Palms that went haywire last year. We used MS Access the previous years, and we are going to try and get them back up and running. Anyone have any other options that we can use?

We have an Excel spreadsheet which anyone is welcome to use. The fields highlighted in yellow are editable, while the others use formulas.

Re: 2007 Scouting Sheet
We are scouting on a robot/round basis rather than a robot/regional basis. We put all of the information for that round for a particular robot on 1 sheet (1/3 of a sheet) and when done, file it away.
Later that night, I combine all of the data and put it in an excel file for easy viewing. It is our first year trying this system so hopefully it will work out. -Andy |
Re: 2007 Scouting Sheet
I'm currently working on a scouting sheet, but I still need a little help. I was wondering if anyone had any ideas for the matches, as to how I can create a scouting sheet for that. I'd really appreciate it a lot. Thanks a lot.

Re: 2007 Scouting Sheet
that is true, but having a separate scouting sheet for the matches and for the pit area is also helpful when looking at alliances because the scout can see if what another team said about their robot was really true. you know, if the robot succeeded its expectations.

Here's what 662 will be using. Focus is on significantly reduced paper-work, ease-of-use, important information available at a glance, and aesthetic appeal. |
