are gas shocks legal?

Are gas shocks such as those used on lift gates and door openers such as to lift a tailgate of a van or suburban legal to use on a robot???

Yes, per <R106> and <R02> gas shocks/springs are legal.

Also, Chief Delphi has a handy search function that allows you to look for threads that may answer your question, if you can't find what you're looking for in the manual. :)

The manual answers this question in <R106>:

It's really easy to find answers to questions like this if you search the manual, specifically section 8 - The Robot.
