Looks very good. How wide are the wheel channels? What does the big red light do (EDIT: I guess I should read the manual again)?

That appears to be the required status LED in this year's KOP.

nice work. do you have any concerns about driver's abilities to maneuver into the wheel wells?

idk those wheel spaces seem pretty big...and its gonna be right in front of your driver station. Good job keep it up!!

We decided to go with 6"x2" channel centered on a standard kit frame wheel dimensions accepting the risk that it may not fit all comers.

As to the question of maneuvering into that track, I return that question to all of you. Think you could climb aboard?

if the inside rail was shorter team 885's bot should be able to climb it (we have like .5" clearance 6wd chassis)

Some "low rider" teams may find it difficult to get on the ramp with a 2" lip on the sides.

Would a 1" inside flange height make a difference?
We'll recalulate structural integrity and consider modification.

Re: pic: Team 1893 Week 4

I would say between .5 and 1 would be low enough. I don't know if there will be many low rider teams this year.

Bear in mind (according to the rules), to score the points at the end, the robots have to be entirely inside the home zone. They'll have to do a sharp 90 degree turn to get onto your platform and get both of them there in less than 15 seconds...unless you plan to turn your bot with them on top of you?

I know for a fact that we have 1 7/8 inch of clearance.

i think it looks good, but how do you plan to get inner tubes. It does look like a good idea for the ramps

You may want to consider bending the inner flanges the other way (down) instead. This will give you nearly the same structural integrity and will allow virtually all teams with narrow aspect robots to climb on top of you.
