Programming a Solenoid

 How does one go about controlling a soleniod with the program? I have looked everywhere i could think of and found nothing on this topic.

Re: Programming a Solenoid

you could hook it up to a relay and plug it in to any relay port but if you are using the default code you could use relay port 1 or 2 they are already mapped to the triggers on the 2 joysticks

Re: Programming a Solenoid

I got this to work with EasyC pretty easily once I figured it out.

The best way I've found to do it (with EasyC) is to wire the solenoid to a spike relay, (if you need help wiring look somewhere on this forum) and then grab a OI to Relay function block in easy and plug in the correct values, quick and easy have ours set to trigger for forward/extend and thumb for backwards/retract. Just tap the button and off it goes, once we got the wiring schematic and I fugured out the programming took us about...oh..ten minutes to get it set up and maybe another 20-30mins to actually mount it.
