Team 340 Website

I'm almost done with this year's site. It's a complete revamp from last year's template, which I lost. A lot of the content is still old, and I'll fix that this weekend, but I'd like some feedback on the design function. Let me know what you think. Among the changes I will be making before I submit:

- Buttons in the banner will be similar to those on the left side, getting rid of the random blue.
- The forum colors will be adjusted to match the new template. I'm still experimenting a little with the wrapping and crossing stylesheets, but most of it is just adapting images.
- I plan on adding pictures to a lot of the pages. I'll probably shoot for at least one picture per content page.
- Add a page about the game.
- And of course updated content.
- Time permitting, I will get the photo gallery up again. Our host transferred servers and most of our gallery got lost in the process, so it will take a while to get it back, especially since we have about 5000 pictures and have to filter it down again.

lol, a link might be good: www.team340.com

Hey man, I love the site. Its awsome and the simple machines forum is perfect. Ive been talking on it for about 2 months or more. Your team is awsome and where so happy that we can communicate back and forth between you guys. I was a little worried when your site went down for those couple of weeks but Mike told us the problem. Now the site is upgraded and tons better. Good job man and tell your team I wish them luck. See you guys at Fingerlakes or maybe sooner!

Re: Team 340 Website

Convenient timing one week before the due date:

I performed a function in phpMyAdmin editing the database, which on the new version wouldn't have done a thing (that's what I use for the test site). I went to run that operation on the older version that runs on the site, and poof, let's delete the database. So, needless to say, I have a lot of work to do in the next week to get it all back up. The design elements will all be easy to reimplement, but I'll be spending a lot of time getting the content and forum back in order.

Most of it's back online now. The content is back to being out-dated, though. I had to fall on a backup from a while ago for the content, and our forum was wiped. I've reset the user table for the forum, but I'm leaving it in maintenance mode until I have the chance to restructure it and set some user permissions. The design's all there, though.

Re: Team 340 Website

Thanks. We started the fortune when Rees started using Yogi Berra quotes every Saturday as "inspirational quotes." So I looked up a bunch of quotes, along with the ones he'd already used, and we have a spot on our forum to make requests for new ones. I haven't updated the new ones in a while, but I'll have some soon.
