Re: So who's up late tonight?
I'm up late...but not for robots...more like fine arts final.

Re: So who's up late tonight?
Well I see 340 and 424 have been up all night long working.
They're on 13 Wham News Morning show after doing so. |
Re: So who's up late tonight?
Nope, our robot ships out at about 3 or 4 PM today, so whatever we have done as of this afternoon is it for us.
I wish we did have until Tuesday to work on it, but we make sure it gets to our shipping handlers early to ensure there's no last minute problems such as "the robot won't fit in the crate!!?!?" |
Re: So who's up late tonight?
Unfortunately for the state of Texas, we have a STANDARDIZED test tomorrow which for the juniors is an exit level test so we get to leave our robot an hour earlier than other school nights...Just our luck...Don't you love state standardized tests?!?

Re: So who's up late tonight?
I've been doing 12 hour shifts for the last two days, and will probably be in longer today... (9 AM start, 9 PM end, repeat.)
(This is what happens when the team decides that the majority of electrical and programming work will be left for the last weekend of build...and add on top of that the functional testing going on...:o ) |

Re: So who's up late tonight?
My computer screen is starting to hurt my eyes. I was up all night last night working on the chairmans/woody flowers submissions due to the fact that the chairmans team consists of 5 professional procrastinators. And it looks like I'm going to be writing all day again today.........tonight is parent night for HOT so all of our submissions have to be presentable. *Groan*

Re: So who's up late tonight?
We would have been had we found a female chaparone, we were going to stay up all night...back to work this morning though!

Re: So who's up late tonight?
1281 will be adding the gripper and probably mostly testing... if we have time we will try and find a way to add 20 lbs to the robot. I thing we are at around 97 lbs now, and our robot is under 4ft.

Re: So who's up late tonight?
Yuppers!
A few of 108's kids will be packing up the crate tonight and of course making a few adjustments as well before the robot finally goes in! ((I had to make all those silly lists for/of everything so, those will be executed tonight as well)) I can't wait for it! |
Re: So who's up late tonight?
we stayed all night on team 1717. and slept in the classroom next door to the robot room(converted physics classroom). some people are still running on an all nighter. were grinding it. only about a half a pond to a pound overweight.

Re: So who's up late tonight?
We don't have that luxury. Bedford sucks. But anyway, we barely finished ours, and we're hoping that we get some extended time to work on it during competition time before our first match.

Re: So who's up late tonight?
We think that we're doing pretty good. We're just finishing up a few last problems. We're also giving our operators as much practice to compete. then we're going to pack the robot for shipping and get ready. Good luck all!
