To whoever made the comment about bandsawing entire mechanisms:
That happens all too frequently to our electrical board... Except we used a scroll saw this year. That was scary.

That was me. Imagine my surprise when I saw four people holding the corners of our ramp mechanism, all bolted together, guiding it through the bandsaw to cut a half inch off the entire width of it. :eek: The Sawzall + rescue and demolition blade works well too.

***Beware! Ramen themed post ahead!***

When you've resorted to stashing about 18 packs of Ramen and a box of pop-tarts in the ceiling tiles in order to have a reserve food supply.

When you've discovered, tried, and lived off of 16 different ways (no less) to prepare a brick of Chicken Ramen.

When (if breakfast isn't Ramen at the shop) all you eat all day are a few bowls of Frosted Flakes.... and several packs, "cooked" and dry, of Chicken Ramen.

When your Ramen consumption reaches the point where you realize that (being Chinese) if at some point in the near future a bear rushed into the shop and ate you, with all the MSG and salt in your body, you would be authentic Chinese take-out.

When you joke about a detox and rehab from caffeine and ramen in week one of build to your friends, and in the middle of week 6, several of your friends confront you and propose to help you off caffiene and ramen.

When you bargain with said friends to wait until the robot ships.

And, for the last 96 hours of build, when you have to resort to a Camelbak and granola bars because you forgot to eat the 2 days before.

reminds me of team dinner one night when someone sneezed and aluminum shavings came out of his eye... and he had been wearing safety goggles for the entire meeting, from the second he walked in the room till we left for pizza
