Team 1425 will be there. Thank You Xerox.
The FIRST registration should have been completed today, so I expect we show up on the list on Wednesday.

Re: 2007 Championship Divisions

Just to make a point of clarification.

Yes the Curie Division looks indeed stacked and everyone is talking about the powerhouse teams, but as I recall Newton was the same way last year...and in the end Archimedes wound up taking home the Gold.

Championships aren't brought home from single teams, it's the 3 teams that work the best together that take the Championship.

Einstein is going to be crazy either way, and I can't wait until next week.

PS: The above post isn't to say I won't be watching Curie...I'll probably be spending most of my time there.

What is wrong with the world???

It is of my understanding that they were never planning on going to Atlanta, even if they did qualify. From speaking with some of their mentors, for a number of years they always tend to go to two regionals: one close to home (lately Boston) and one far away (LA, FL to name a few). They've won a number of regionals over the past few years, but have only gone (at least from what I recall) to a Championship maybe once. But I do agree that it stinks...I personally will be missing our friends from Quincy next week.:(

If this stands, Curie will make me cry. So many good teams, and so spread out team number wise. We will see some interesting qual matches. I predict 1114 and 1024 to come out on top of quals.

I'm thinking... a bit biased as usual... that as it stands right now, Archimedes will repeat. Last time 648 was in Atlanta, Archimedes won. I'm entirely hoping that 648 will be on that winning alliance. I'm just pumping myself up for a great weekend of events.

Will you think that way if you aren't currently in Archimedes? They added 2 teams this morning. I'm not sure who, but we are up to 324

Simple answer... no. LOL... completely biased towards what division 648 is in. I just think the "super division" (ie, Curie last posted) will eat itself alive with the amount of high caliber teams, and someone's going to get to Einstein on a whim and feather (read: luck). I could totally be wrong, though.
