Of the 54 teams that qualified this past weekend 20 already had their ticket punched for Atlanta. That means a fresh 34 possibilites to add to the list!

That is quite true that 102 is attending  And we cannot wait (as such as every other team going lol)

WOW. It is up to 271 teams as of right now. That is awesome. Our team said we would never go unless we earned it. I must say, this looks like it is an awesome year to have earned it.

Oh man... that's unfortunate that your team won't go unless you earned (in which you did this year with the StL win). It's an amazing opportunity for students to go to and I recommend that each team go AT LEAST once every four years. I'm lucky to be going to Atlanta for a second time, last was in 2004.

I hope all the new attendees enjoy their trip.

Team 1555 Will be going, as long as everything was done for the regestration properly. This will be our first year competing in Atlanta and I can't wait. It will be hard though, our team only has 9 students. I can't wait for it!

This is our (Team 1824) 1st year going to Atlanta, too. We've only got 10 students so we understand how hard it is for you. It'll be very exciting and fun.

hold it one second. 271 teams. might as well say 70 per division. how many matches does that work out too? i'm going to championship for first time and would like to see are team on field at least as much as at a large local regional. is there a maximum number of teams?

Not quite. There are still 14 or so regionals left, so theoretically that's 84 more teams that can register. Likely less, but there's also a waiting list and usually a late registration period. Champs will almost definitely be a full 300+ teams, so expect about 80ish per division.

The last time I was in Atlanta, in 2004, there were 295 teams at the event. I don't know the numbers from the past two years, but I assume they are near there.

Re: 2007 Championship Divisions

last year each division had around 82 teams, which worked out to about 330 teams total

thanks for feedback., but does anyone know how many matches the teams had ,let's say last year?if it is going to be as few as i think, luck of the draw and other teams scouting sounds hugely important as far as moving on.

Re: 2007 Championship Divisions

Last year we had only 7 qualifying matches...no room for errors.
