Wow, looks nice. I would be sad to leave such a nice piece of machinery. I wish our team had money and space for some machining tools

"moving to Houston and no basement"

How about putting it in the living room, where it belongs? :)

(nice machine!)

Honestly I agree with Squirrel...put it in the living room. I decided when i get a apartment or dorm i will have a small mill in my bedroom, this way when an idea strikes me i can make it. I dont think you will be able to live without your mill once you get rid of it. IMO

No no... it is waaaaay too big for a living room. It needs a new home in Kokomo.

Mills don't belong in the living room. Steam engines belong in the living room.

ok, I'll go for that.

All we have in the living room is the pinball machine (1976) and shuffle alley (1953)...the lathe (1946) is out in the shop.

Moving... No moving! :(

And whats the drive behind the drive without his mill... You can't
part with it.... Theres plenty of places to put a mill its all the stuff around it thats out of place.

This looks good.

What kind of tolerances can this machine hold?

David,

Smithy shows a tolerance of +/- 0.001 in. I am certain the machine is better than factory lead screws with the added ballscrews.

B.T.W. The Reserve price is at $2k anything over that on ebay and it will be going home to someone. I just couldn't part with it for less than that due to all of the investment into the machine and the CNC package.

What is the travel per axis. Can you get more specific than what you have posted on ebay.("less than 10 inches")

EDIT* answered my own question, went on their webpage
X axis 12-1/16"
Y axis 8-1/2"

quarter inch bit= 8inch wheels :-)
