Any NorthEast Teams Interested in Sharing Bus to Atlanta?
 

Hello,

Team 121 is considering taking a bus down to Atlanta for the Championship Event. In order to offset the cost of the bus, we are looking for 25-30 people interested in coming along for the ride.

The advantages of a bus ride include lower costs than airfare, being able to bring equipment that is not allowed on planes, and having transportation while down in Atlanta.

We would depart for Atlanta on Tuesday night and leave on Saturday night after the wrap party. The bus leaves from Rhode Island and travels south down 95.

We are willing to take individuals and/or a team in the area with us. We have to know BY THURSDAY MARCH 8 if you are interested.

If you are an interested individual please contact me and if you are an interested team, please have a team leader contact me using the PM system here on the forums. In the PM please provide me you phone and email contact info and I will get back to you.

Team 1991 is working on travel arrangements right now. We may have some people to fill seats for you.

Would you be willing to take down some of our tools, etc. We would pay you, and that might help offset some of your costs

We do have room on the bus for more people to go down with us. The cost of riding the bus down will be about 1/3 of the cost of flying. We will be willing to take any 18+ non high-school student (ie mentor, etc) down with us. We leave from Rhode Island and will most likely stop once in CT. This is another call out to teams and individuals out there who need last minute transportation to Atlanta. Right now we are really short because another team just canceled out on us. Please PM me if you are interested.

Also if any teams from the tristate (Mass, CT, RI) area want to be honorary RhodeWarriors please let us know. We would need groups of students led by a chaperone. As an honorary RhodeWarrior you get a team shirt and to hang out with one of the historic teams in FIRST. We will also have a DVD player. Let us know!

You know being a Rhode Warrior for the weekend would be cool but the DVD player is the real selling point.

With the last set of regionals happening this weekend, we will be able to take any teams that qualify along the east coast down to Atlanta with us. Please contact or reply if your team needs a cheap way down to ATL on short notice.
