The inventor looks awesome.
I just have a question on the functinality of the device. What is the leftmost cylinder used for? It looks like it has the rightmost cylinder mounted on it for dual positioning.
If they are linked to dual position, wouldn't they both have to be extended right now for the claw to be closed? This looks as though it could also be an intermediate position where only one cylinder of the 2 would be extended, but they both appear retracted at this angle. I have seen the bot in the pits at NJ but just looked at all of the leadscrews. If someone could explain that real quick to me it would be excellent. Something in my head just isn't clicking.

Thanks,
-Henry

The lower cylinder is mounted in place and doesn't move. It pushes the top cylinder and the gripper closes partially. The moving cylinder (top) pushes it the rest of the way closed.

I know, we are expecting a lot of competition this year. That's why we raised the bar. We have done so much more this year than ever before. I will post the link to our site after the deadline has passed. What you see is only the tip of the iceberg.

But then again, you never know what you're going to see next in this competition.
