Would You Watch an Israeli Regional Webcast?
Team #1577 is trying to arrange a webcast for the 2007 GM/Technion Israeli Regional. Everything is pretty much approved, and we will get the final OK tomorrow.
Before we start getting things ready, we just want to make sure that we have one important thing: audience. For a variety of reasons, we do not anticipate a large amount of local viewers. Therefore I want to ask how many of you will really watch the webcast? Now here is the catchy part: Considering the time difference, the competition times will be around 3AM - 10AM EST The webcast will be held on Tuesday and Wednesday (yes the regional is in the middle of the week). We realize this will be a problem for most (if not all) potential viewers, and that's why we are asking for your opinion. Just to clarify things: The whole competition is held in English! (The ceremonies and team intros are in English and Hebrew) I don't know who is coming this year, but for the past two years Blair was the announcer at the regional. Thanks, Team #1577 Steampunk Raanana, Israel |
Re: Would You Watch an Israeli Regional Webcast?
I more than likely would not be able to catch it live (darn those things called sleep and work :p ), but if you archived it I would be interested in viewing it.
Good luck! |
Re: Would You Watch an Israeli Regional Webcast?
I would definitely try to watch it when I wake up in the morning before heading out to school.

If you archive it I would watch it. If I had to watch it live I would probably watch one day just to see how robots from the other side of the world perform.

Re: Would You Watch an Israeli Regional Webcast?
As a proud Israeli (and a would be member for #1943 if I didn't move to the US) I'd make a great effort to watch the regional.

Re: Would You Watch an Israeli Regional Webcast?
I would love to watch it, I wont be able to watch the whole thing because I will be taking ambulance calls then when ever they come in, but I will keep it running to watch as much as I can.

Re: Would You Watch an Israeli Regional Webcast?
I'll watch the finals when I get to work!

Re: Would You Watch an Israeli Regional Webcast?
Also, I can freely translate between Hebrew and English, so if you want help with making subtitles after the video is parsed or anything, let me know.

Re: Would You Watch an Israeli Regional Webcast?
I'd grab myself some high-energy drink and stay up to watch it.

Re: Would You Watch an Israeli Regional Webcast?
It would probably be NO for me. Just for the simple fact of the time and I watch too many regionals as it is. My wife is starting to feel like a FIRST widow.

Re: Would You Watch an Israeli Regional Webcast?
I can watch the last few hours both mornings between practice and class. I'd be thrilled if you could pull this through!

Re: Would You Watch an Israeli Regional Webcast?
Chalk up another vote for the "would love to watch it, but because of time constraints would need to watch it archived and not live". Theres no way for me to stay up all night watching, but i would love to see what you guys thought up with.

I would actually find those hours easier due to I could watch more in the morning then I could if at school. I would gladly wake up to watch.
