They Start folded up in this position.

They Are actuated into this position.

Begin to open via motor in front.

And Eventually Fully opened

2 robots mounted 13 inches off the ground for a big bonus.

First 4 are from our final Seeding match with spike, and the one is our quarter finals match against spike.

The United State Naval Academy would like to identify students from teams who have applied to the the USNA Summer Seminars in Annapolis this year.
Please email me only if you applied and also attended the Chesapeake Regional.

Sorry to bring bad news, but it onl took two regionals to get that to work! We helped 1975 design and build theres in three hours, but i was glad to see it work. Next time stop by our pits and our magic hands will make it work...good job, i never thoughti'd see it finished, but you guys proved me wrong!

I'm compiling a list of Rookie Awards and the Highest Rookie Seed at Chesapeake was awarded to 2234 from Episcopal Academy. According to the team results on the FIRST Website section it looks like Team 2199 finished prelims with a higher ranking. Does anyone have the reason that 2199 was not given the HRS?

2199 was not a true rookie. They were a part of a three school team that split into three teams.

Re: 2007 Chesapeake Regional - Discussion

My understanding is as follows:
As the number of FRC teams continues to grow, FIRST is developing criteria for what constitutes a rookie team. The criteria is described in the Team Handbook under “Rookie or Not?” A decision was made by FIRST HQ during the build season that Team 2199 did not meet the criteria as a rookie team. FIRST HQ therefore removed this team for consideration for rookie awards at the Chesapeake, including highest rookie seed.
That said this decision is not a reflection on any wrongdoing on the part of this team. Team 2199 has dealt with this entire issue with gracious professionalism, and I am proud to call them a Maryland team.

Thanks! Regardless as status as rookie or not, it looks like 2199 had a great time at Chesapeake! :yikes:

Hello,
The reason that we, Team 2199 Robo-Lion's, aren’t considered a rookie team is because we have 4 students that came from team 1464. 1464 is the team based out of nearby Career and Technology Center that has students in the National Project Lead the Way program.
Regardless, thank you for the complement RoboMom.
Naturally, we had tons of fun (and the crowd had fun with us)! We didn't dream of going to the quarterfinals leading our own alliance (and beating the #1 alliance with the only undefeated robot on it)! We "Racked and Roared"!

I would like to thank 888 and 869 for being great alliance partners!
I would like to thank 75, 203 and 293 for the great 3 rounds we had together!
I would like to thank everyone who cheered for us!
Finally I would like to thank everyone on the team, our mentors, our parents, and anyone and any team who supported us in any way!

Thanks, Aaron Carteaux
