They held the ringers from the inside, just like 25....the weak spot in the design, at least 1746's, was that they couldn't always hold on to the ringers when getting knocked around. Still a great design, and one of the top scorers at Peachtree.

EDIT: 1369, who won Peachtree, was also a solid scorer.

If I remember correctly, 1261 had an average of 4.0, 1369 had an average of 3.8, and 1746 had an average of 3.6.

just a little note from the first note
what you are saying about our manipulator is a little off, with our manipulator, if we got the tube on,that sucker is not coming off, we actually had trouble one match cause the match ended with a tube on our manipulator, and it took me and a ref a good bit of force to pull it off
most of our problems with dropping the tubes was us getting knocked around while attempting to pick them up and we wouldn't grab it right
but our manipulator did work well for us and we were very happy with it

And thanks again for all the help, you guys were great alliance partners, hopefully we will get to work with you again.

as for the second
yes
i saw it
it was pretty nice of them, i think the strategy guys on my team believed it was not fully accurate, but it did give a nice overall view of things

Re: 2007 best tube scorers

I would have to agree that I think triple strange had the data a little off but it still helped. For instance for a period of 4 or 5 matches we were putting up 5 ringers per match and one match we put up 6. The least we put up was 3 in a match so I think the data is a little low at least for us. I'm sure there are some discrepancies for most teams. Also they did not take into account the practice matches which I'm sure was their decision but it can show what a team is capable of with minimal defense. I know we put up 6 and 7 ringers each round in practice. Overall though it was very gracious to hand out that data that they worked on.

648 is definitely a force to reckon with. Their auton is impressive and their crab steer is extremely effective! I would partner with them anytime!

i was very pleased to see 121 up there even though we have not competed.

I hope we can please at boston this weekend =D

As for what ive seen at UTC...

1124, 195, 25 were best of show *when 195 wasnt broke ;) but they fixed it up and did an amazing job winning the regional w/ 1124...

195 and 1124 went under the radar for most of the competition.

Thanks for your partnership-- we couldn't have done it without you.

At the Bayou Regional,

364, 118, along with ourselves seem to stand out in terms of scoring tubes.

That is very true. My team doesn't usually miss much when it comes to scouting out the best teams. But I think we underestimated these two teams until we saw them in the elimination rounds on Saturday. We weren't picking though, so I don't think we could have done anything about it anyway...

I would have to second 364, 118, and 701 at the Bayou Regional.

1726 done good in match 6 of arizona regionals (7 of 9 tubes), and we had the high score at the regional with 3.6-3.7 average

i would say that out of all the teams that were at the st. louis regional, the best scores i saw were 148 and 1444. these were two of the most changing opponets i've ever seen.

Some more tube scoring robots to mention from MWR are 107 and 1710. I liked both robots a lot, and 107 had gigantic ramps to climb up.

1369 is a dynamyte robot, but I havn't seen it at a competition.

From Florida I liked
179
1523
79
52
And I havn't watched much of the other regionals so I can't make a very good statement about any bots not at Florida
