Re: 2007 best tube scorers
I have a test tomorrow, so I'm not going to go through 8 pages to see if they've been mentioned, but I'll offer up team 555, Montclair Robotics. We competed with them at the NJ Regional and their grabber really impressed me when I saw it in action-- some of the reasoning behind the engineering inspiration awards this year has been for creative ways to pick up tubes, and they had a pretty nifty device figured out for human loading:
http://www.montclair.k12.nj.us/schoo...555/index.html The lifter was designed like a forklift to go from the bottom spider legs to the top and then flip over the top to human load, if I remember correctly. I definitely thought it was one of the coolest designs for a tube grabber. I don't think their stats were the greatest at the regional, which is why I'll add 25 and 103 to my list, but I still thought they had the coolest bot there. |
Re: 2007 best tube scorers
Hahaha, oh yes, we're quite a secret society...
For those at WMR, feel free to ask stats at any time. I'll try to get the excel database from Pat tonight. I have the one updated through Friday, but I don't have Saturday's data on there. (Note: We didn't scout during the tournament, so my info will only be from Qualifications) |
Re: 2007 best tube scorers
I'm dieing to see the GLR and BMR data...

Re: 2007 best tube scorers
I looked at the MARRS Data and extracted the best tube scorers at Wisconsin and Buckeye. http://www.chiefdelphi.com/forums/sh...threadid=56258
Here are the best scorers from Wisconsin: Code:

Re: 2007 best tube scorers
At boston: I would have to say 69, 126, 1626, 2079, thats about what I can think off. All 4 teams can put tubes on really fast and easily at least it seems.
NJ: 25, 103. Wow its been a long time, I need my memory checked. |
Re: 2007 best tube scorers
Here's what I have from GLR, if you would like a listing of how your individual team did, let me know, but because our database is over a meg, I can't upload it. Also, I looked through and I'm not sure how far through Saturday these are updated. Every team has at least through the 6th match, most through the 7 and some the 8.

Re: 2007 best tube scorers
Is this ranking done based on avg points earned per match, average ringers scored per match, or some other method?
|
Re: 2007 best tube scorers
My apologies. The rank is for the top robot in each category. On the right side, it is for the top ringer scorers and on the left, the top ramp bots. It just lists them in order so that when our picker goes out, he knows what order to go in. The numbers are for total ringers scored in qualifyings and total number of robots that were lifted by that team in qualifyings.

Brazilian Team #1860 - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ko0BRuWPyiI
In this match, we only place 4 rings because our sensor was defective, but generally, we placed 5 and keeper. |
