My desktop:
Linky
That's me in the pic, in my hotel room at the 2005 Sacramento Regional, frantically working on autonomous code.

(The blacked-out AIM screen name is because I don't think my friend would appreciate a bunch of random IMs from unknown people, but feel free to talk to me)

Re: Post your Desktop!

Well, I don't have a dedicated computer that I always sit down at.. sometimes I use my mom's laptop, our family desktop, or the one in my room. But the computer I connect to and use no matter where I am is here:

She's a Linux server sitting in my basement. <3

But the computer I'm currently on is our team's programming laptop, I'm on my account on it.

Hmm, clean. =)

Re: Post your Desktop!

My desktop is actually quite frightening. Some interesting points:
-Yahoo Widgets is sweet. One of those GMail boxes is a custom widget I downloaded, the other is the same widget, only I fixed quite a few stupid bugs in it. Yay open source!
-My background...comes from my FALCON board...it was later determined that my computer was at fault, not the board.
-My icons...it is like discovering remains of an old civilization as you dig from bottom right to top left. Some notes about the different phases, from newest to oldest:
> A bunch of MP4 files--encoded by SUPER, they are formatted for my sister's new iPod nano.
> A document meant for my mom--detailed instructions about how to rip a CD and put the resulting MP3s on a player.
> myFairTunes, a program that makes fair use of iTunes-purchased songs possible.
> A file with my sister's username and password for her iTunes account in it...
> A free CD burner package
> Some MapQuest directions to the wrong fire station; we were doing a team community service food sort thing and I got the wrong address.
> AVG Free, the best free anti-virus software (tried Avast, didn't like it...too intrusive)
> Can't remember what's inside the text file, but above it is the spec sheet for the IR sensor (december gift).
> A flyer from the local bowling alley; gets you a discount if you come in with a copy.
> The next two items are a sponsorship letter I was going to send...and forgot to...I started working on it in good old Notepad, but with Word Wrap turned on, there was some "wonky-ness" when I saved the document. Afraid of losing it, I copied it into Word and finished.
> A couple of unimportant school-related documents.
> A playlist file from a ShoutCast metal station.
> I don't remember what the "tims message" was, but it has nothing to do with the FIRST TIMS...
> Another screen dump of the FALCON board.
> StepMania, the most amazing software I have ever downloaded in my life...ever.
> Timesheets for work, a picture of who knows what (I think it's my senior picture, but I'm not sure)

I'm stopping here because this post is already really long...but you get my drift...:ahh: :ahh: :ahh:
I should clean up....naah that's for losers lol
