IFI traction wheels

Does anyone know the weights of IFI traction wheels? I can't find weight specs on their website. Specifically, I'm thinking about the 8" diameter, 2" thick wedgetop wheel with 0.5" bearing ID. (Planning ahead for next season already....:yikes:)

If you look at the IFI traction wheels page, the weights are listed in the Wheels Specifications table.

Oh wow...how did I miss that.

Haha thanks.

Honestly, I don't like the IFI Traction wheels. 675 used them last year and they got all bent up and owned hard. We made our own (Solid) aluminum wheels with a similar tread to the IFI wheels and they've been owning hard.

They've since been redesigned and work flawlessly now, as far as I can tell. Team 648 uses them on their swerve drive and they give us a little bit of an edge if we're being pushed or shoved.

I'm yet to see a broken version 2 IFI traction wheel. They might not be the best for everyone but if you're looking for a proven robust solution for a good weight they probably can't be beat.

Ah, well, despite their improvements, we still have nice, strong wheels that are easy to maintain and work just fine, plus we're still under weight (but just barely -- it's perfect).

This was our second year of using IFI Traction Wheels. The redesigned version of the wheels is much better-- easier to put together and we haven't had any problems with them after two regional competitions, not to mention they allow for some major pushing power.

We used IFI traction wheels both last year and this year, and have noticed a marked improvement. Last year the wheels bent very badly, both the outside plates and the part holding them together. This year, we haven't had any problems with any of the wheels. Props to IFI for figuring out what was wrong with the old wheel and making a great new version.

On Cyber Blue we've used the ifi v.2 traction wheels with much sucess. We haven't had any problems with their integrity, tread attachment, etc. Plus you'll have a hard time beating the weight, ease, and cost of the ifi traction wheels. In short, I love em!

yeah i had to fix the drive train a lot last year and one of the reasons was the wheels they sheared the screws off and the were a pain. and a revising to otaku we had aluminum wheels but we change to a much nicer plastic with aluminum rims and they were awesome and hella light
