It's that time again. Time for everybody to come face to face and get out from behind those monitors, keyboards, and thousands of miles of Internet.

What: 2007 Chief Delphi Web Hug
When: Thursday, April 12, 2007 12:00 Noon
Where: Courtyard between Hall C and the Dome. (map; the big orange/black 47)
Who: You have a forum account? You're invited.

Mike Martus (from Chief Delphi) will give a quick hello, let people meet & greet, share some statistics and hand out some goodies. It shouldn't take too long (15-20 minutes). I may not be able to make it (working a field for IFI) this year.

As in previous years, we will be having a raffle this year. It will work the same way as last year. Starting right now, we will be giving away 15 raffle tickets each hour. You may get one this coming week, and one next week, for a total of two chances to win. You'll see the link show up top above the spotlight -- it will show for 1 minute (the 47th minute of each hour). We'll be picking the winners before the webhug, to save some time, but you must be present to win, and pick up your prize -- a limited edition 2007 web hug t-shirt. It is white this year, so bring your Sharpie markers and get some signatures. Just added (4/6): a special prize in addition to the t-shirt.

People have mentioned that in the past they forgot about the webhug because Thursday is a very busy day. So, again like previous years, you can get a text message reminder. Go into your user cp, click Text Mesasge Reminders and set up your reminder.

I hope my team gets off the wait list and goes to Atlanta....I can't wait to meet all the rest of the chief delphi addicts.

This is the 3rd year my team will be there, and the 3rd year I'll be on the drive team. Hopefully i can come, i still have my raffle ticket from last year on my shelf :D

I got my ticket too! (now I can go to bed...yes I stayed up to get a ticket...)

When they do the raffle, do they call by number or by name?
I just saved the source code and the image thats on the ticket, I'll print it at school tomorrow.

Last year they called by name. A LOT of people didn't bring their tickets. It was easier to just identify by username. (Hurray for WAIs!)

I'll be there. Anyone has license to drag me out of the pits at 10 'til noon on Thursday. TechnoKat kids usually do a good job of making sure that Alan Anderson and I are there. Plus, Alan has this fancy PDA that zaps him when the time gets close.

Yes, they do call by name. I plan to attend this every year, but always get sidetracked working on something or other. Some team members came back last year and said that one of my tickets had been pulled.
(I missed a free trip to Hawaii or something like that! :eek: )

This year, I won't even plan to attend, as I will be volunteering as a Teamwork Judge for the FLL World Festival on Thursday.

Crap! I can't make it. I have to work until Friday afternoon so I won't be able to make it to Atlanta until Friday evening. Oh well, I'll just have to say hi to everyone Friday night and Saturday.

My WAI is from 2004... I don't plan on changing it anytime soon either. I don't have any recent pictures of myself. That's what happens when you're behind the camera.

That is really cool! You don't have to get too innovative either because you can just print it out on paper and then duck tape it to your shirt.

This might be really random to say, but if you miss me, i'll have a panda (RAWRimaPANDA! get it get it? ;/ im soo unfunny lol) in my pant pocket/or inside my tshirt with it's head sticking out at all times during the event, if youre on a random hunt to find me for some reason. (just in case i can't stay at the webhug for too long...)

Thanks to everyone at CD and Innovation First for today's Web Hug. We had good weather and a good turn out. Of course it was good to win a T shirt again and also one of the new Hex Bugs that they also gave away today. They are pretty cool.

It was nice to meet some cool people. Although, I didn't meet very many. I was wearing a 107 shirt and had a maroon mohawk with orange sides, for those who didn't recognize me.

Some other CDers informed me that my name was called for the Webhug raffle, but because the FVC fields were running their lunch break one hour before the FRC fields, I had to be on the field queuing teams during the Webhug.

C'est la vie...

what can i say i got a 2007 web hug t-shirt at the end by catching it (luckey if i say so myself). however i got no bug, i was very disappointed and began to wait for radio-shack to begin to stock them, then out of no where team 148 began to hand the hex-bugs out and sure enough i got one (alpha, after a couple of trades to some othere teams). so after just one day i got the bug and the web hug, sounds good to me and i cant wait till tommorow to see what is in store for my team. good luck to all and i hope to see all of you out there.
