2007 Beantown Blitz!

Mark your calendars everyone, because the Northeast's biggest, best, and baddest one day mini competition is back, and better than ever! (♥Alliteration)

Don't miss your first chance to get back on the field after the Championship! This event is JUST LIKE A REGIONAL. It is held in a hockey arena, and put up with a professional audio/video production company. We've got some surprises planned for Rack n' Roll, and the competition promises to be fiercer than ever...

To register, check out the official Beantown Blitz Website

Date: May 19th, 2007
Location: Matthew's Arena, Northeastern University, Boston, MA
Cost: $300
Fun: Exponential

Beantown Blitz is hosted by Northeastern University and team 125, the NUTRONS.

Hope to see you all there!!

PS: We are looking for volunteers for the event. If you are interested, check out the "volunteer" section on the BTB web site.

Same day as Monty Madness in NJ. I guess that never got to be changed huh? Oh well.. I guess we (and I'm sure some others) will just have to decide where to go now.

There's a lot of teams in the area. I'm sure both events will be great.

It's unfortunate that both events need to be held on that weekend. I know that several CT High Schools, like South Windsor, have their prom that night, so I can't attend, although my team might.

Now if you were willing to move it to the CT Convention Center, I can go straight from competition to prom right next door...

You can count my school in there as well. Even though I love FIRST, you have to know where to draw the line. There is only one senior prom, but there will always be another robotics competition. :)

I guess I better start training a new base driver for our team for Beantown Blitz... ;)

Still plenty of spots available...I highly recommend bringing your team out for this event. We hold it in what could be a regional setting. Come bring your team and your robot!! (If you have an '05 bot laying around, bring that one too!!)

Keep the Mentors Match. It is a great idea. Our team still talks about that match like it was yesterday. Team 348 will be there to win it this time. We might bring a second robot.:)

Your web site doesn't mention when a team needs to register by. We are a rookie team (1991 Dragons) hoping for another shot at a competition event and we won't have a committee meeting until next week 4/24/07.
