Some people complained that the ramps were hard to stay on. With our recent upgrades, this should not a problem any more.

How wide are the platforms not including the little ramps?

The wings are the same size as the ones at Boilermaker. We just added (not shown) anti-backing stops, a rubber strip at the top of the ramp (also not shown) and the holes to save weight and for wheels to drop into (shown).

If and when the wheels drop in those holes, they'll still be at least 12", correct? I think I remember a THRUSTer saying it lifts to 15" but I could be mistaken.

Re: pic: Angel Wings

On the old wings the distance from the ground to the top of the wings was 13.5 inches. If you look closely at the holes you will see that they are flanged upward. This strengthens the skin around the holes so it won't tear when you hit it.
So if your wheel falls into the hole it should still be above 13". Each hole is 2" in diameter.
See you at the Championships.

Nothing like using Vex wheels on an FRC robot, eh? (Pretty sure Vex small wheels are 1.75" but close enough for me.)
