Robots are tired of being controlled by humans and are taking over. This is another attempt to rid the world of "useless human" and establish themselves as superior.

Don't believe me? Remember this picture from Caption Contest #117 back in October?

It won't be long before they rule the world (at least for a couple of hours before all their batteries die).

When Hoang awoke from a deep sleep in which he could not remember the night before, he felt a strange device attached to his head. When he asked the lead Mechanical Mentor on his team what was wrong with his head, the mentor simply shrugged and said "It's programming team's problem."

One of the first computers (At White Sands during the Manhattan Project) was used to play games. When you give an engineer a machine and a bunch of free time, he will find a senseless use for the hardware. Here we see a demonstration of a $50,000 industrial robot being used to scratch an itch.
