Why do you "hate" to point that out? Say it loud and proud and fix that problem!

Although, being a 3 time silver medalist, I wouldn't know how to say it loud and proud if I won a regional. But since we'll be winning on Curie this year, I'm going to scream it out very loud. Everyone will be able to hear me. :D

that list of champs and finalists is pretty long. do we have the most in our division or just the best? we haven't got the chance to show it yet, because of the need to score, but 910 is always ready for a little defence.

Im not sure how big ramps are going to be though. In all of the finals at Midwest, not one team used ramps to the best of my knowlege, even though they had them at their disposal. Team 1000 played defense the whole time and we never even tried to climb up on their ramp. Wildstang had a ramp, but no-one ever climbed up even though they deployed it a couple of times. Two excellent tube scorers and an okay def. bot can outscore any other robots with ramps.

There is another type of hybrid people are forgetting about.

The Tube scorer and Ramp climber!

These are the teams who focused on tube scoring and a drivetrain to be able to climb ramps. A lot of really good tube scorers sacrifice part of their ramp climbing ability for more manuverablity. I do know that mecnums, omni's, swerve, 2wd, 4wd and so on can drive up ramps - but how reliably and fast?

Nothing beats a 6wd with a exposed wheel to eliminate any ground clearence problems. Yes thats what 1015 got guys and gals, a tube / climber hybrid!

Yes, tube scorer and ramp climber. We never got to try climbing up on ramps in competition because most of the ramps we got paired up with did not decide to work in the match. We have excellent traction, and enough power to pull ourselves up about any ramp including last years which we tried in practice.

This is going to be an interesting division.

Lots of good hybrids, arms and ramps.

By the way, 180's ramp is big enough to land a plane. And the arm is quite sweet.

Links to match videos, photos, and FIRST's team information for each team can be found on The Blue Alliance's Championship Portal which will have more and more information added to it over the week left until Championship!

Now that a new version of the "hybrid" has been introduced, the scorer/climber, hows about the "double hybrid"? We are a four ramp, two platform (totaling around 45 square feet), ramp climbing, tube scoring (best was 5 at West Michigan) robot. After replacing our camera at the end of the West Michigan regional we were able to place six of six keepers in auton on the practice field.

The bottom line here is this. There are 344 exceptional robots heading to Atlanta as I write this. Every robot headed there can do one, two, three or more things well and will each be a threat on the field. How well we all work together with whatever assets we each bring to the field will determine the outcomes.

Congratulations to all and Good Luck!

Does anyone want to start a scouting type forum for Curie, or did I just miss it?

Are those scouting threads useful? I have yet to see one, but I'm not looking.

This division seems like it'll be as intense as West Michigan was. It'll be good to see some old alliance partners here :) (141, 1114).. I think the HOT team has a thing for 1's and 4's ;)

Good Luck To All Teams!! Let's make Curie the BEST Division and the Championship winner :D

We'll be on Curie again (our team has been on Curie every year at the Championship). Lots of good teams, it's going to be quite a challenge!

And don't automatically assume manuverability means bad ramp climbing, we've been lifted 3 times despite a 4 wheel with omnis set up. Good drivers are key!
