Re: Galileo Division 2007
Well, the two teams that I've seen in action kick some serious behind scoring-wise were 100 and 254, and they're not under the Galileo division.
I can't wait to see how the G division pans out. I'm not going to speculate, since, as somebody else said, there's probably going to be improvements upon the robots for Championships, plus perhaps some team could just happen to come out of the woodworks and prove themselves. Like 675 and our bot, Gloria Machina. Just proposing. ;) |

Re: Galileo Division 2007
this seems to be the toughest division! i'm sure we'll have amazing matches here... we have the old powerhouses like 25, 45, 103, 229 and others... but we have good newcomers too... it would be a hard task to any team in this division...
I'm eager for that!! |

Re: Galileo Division 2007
I'd never dream of doing such a thing! I don't know if you heard but 250 NEVER plays defense

Re: Galileo Division 2007
2056 is the real deal. I will predict right now that they are the number 1 seed if the sorting algorithm stays the same as the regionals. If not, they will still be top 8.
I saw them at Waterloo and they were awesome. They can score like nobody's business and can get around defense in a flash. There are also a lot of high row scorers in this division which will be a plus for the Galileo representatives on Einstein. |

Re: Galileo Division 2007
Uh wow..
I think that post^ speaks for itself, eh? Also, I think Paul has a great point. I was shocked when I found out they were a rookie team, their whole design and bot looks almost better than many veteran teams (not to mention the driving skill that they have to go with that bot). They'll be one of the people to benefit from the "Algorithm of Death," it looks like. |

Re: Galileo Division 2007
I'm not sure winning a regional would be considered "under the radar" ;)
Then again, who knows, you don't make yourselves too public so maybe people won't notice right away. I posted in the Newton thread something about 148 (in my opinion, one of the best robots out there) and someone replied "who?" |
Re: Galileo Division 2007
WOW. I think that can describe it pretty well.
