Atlanta is in the same time zone and daylight-saving-ness as Ontario, right? None of the field webcasts are up (not even NASA TV), and that's really the only reason I can think of as for why.

Edit: They sure are the same time zone, where's my webcast :(

HAHAHAHAHA. Oh my god. That's what I get for never looking at the date.

I just saw all these what-to-do at championship threads as well as this and the 4 other division threads, and figured people were already there. I never once bothered checking the date. Now I feel stupid :(

You were just up too late doing statisitcal analysis. Good work by the way.

I don't think we will ever hold Championships on Easter Weekend. Some Catholic School teams might not be able to go. Plus, the Georgia Dome is booked with the New Birth Easter Service. I'm not sure if that is webcast :D

I suppose my biggest surprise was that 503 AND 79 were both available when we got to the 8th seed. I was standing there looking down the line and thinking to myself "Wow, theres no way that they both are still around". I loved our alliance, sorry for the arm breaking in the finals guys, but we had a great run.

Re: Galileo Division 2007

Biggest surprise for me was my team, 1712. We came into this event really low key, and didn't expect to get as far as we did. We did extremely well in Philly, coming out 4th seed, but eliminated in the quarter-finals by 341 and 84's alliance. With such great teams as 25, 45, 103, 217, 341... and the list goes on, we had low expectations. We joked that we were going to be on top of everyone, but it didn't really sink in until the end of friday.

Ending the qualifying matches seeded 6th among some of the greatest teams in the world was one of the most exhilarating things for our crew of 12 that came to Atlanta. To go from being unknown for this years competition to making it to the Semi-finals on the Galileo field in than two weeks was something that we could have never imagined. It really meant the world to our drivers, our mentors, and everyone that was a part of our team. It was a truly amazing experience for all of us.
