I was thinking about just exporting the data after it is compiled (IE total spoilers, total ringers, matches recorded). But if you would like to do data for every match I'd be willing to get you a SQL dump (just a few rows). I'll PM you with a username and password for the MARRS Demo that has unlimited access. |

Insofar as the 768 scouting program, my preference would also include a little more of the match data such as the scoring on the rack, but that's the basic gist of what we'd need for our purposes. Some of the fields, such as what I believe are strategy rating fields in the dump, aren't perhaps as portable since they're a bit more subjective. (I feel for you about being at work, as I'm at my job too...) |

tjcasser, as I seem to be missing part of the picture on your app, I'll e-mail you an HTML dump of the forms provided in MARRS, unless magic8ball prefers an alternative... That should give you an idea of what MARRS likes to have. I'd love to be able to develop the format myself, but I seem to be missing part of the picture... |

No one has offered to cover Galileo. My team is in Archimedes, so I probably shouldn't volunteer them for that unless I have to. Anyone in Galileo able to help?

I think we need Curie too?

I will also be making MARRS teamlists available for download in CSV format for interested teams so that they may see some of our comparative stats in Excel and have sorting without having to login to MARRS. I plan to make a bunch of copies Friday night on CD (may post on CD as well) for interested teams.

http://www.team537.com/MARRS/MatchDataSheet.pdf I was hoping for teams that were already planning on using MARRS or 768's app (much easier data sharing), but if you use paper forms they can work with, that should work just as well (Anybody want to correct me?). |
Re: Scouting Cooperation @ Nationals '07
768's Scouting App will also have CSVs available to load the teams - I'm just finishing up the routines to load them as we speak. (The format's slightly different than the ones we'd used previously.)
For anyone who doesn't have one of the programs loaded before the Championships - I'll have a copy of the 768 app compiled for stand-alone use (and a Java runtime for installation if someone needs it) on a USB key over at the Archimedes practice field that I'll be able to help load onto laptops if anyone should like. :) I'll be easy to find - I'll be wearing a volunteer shirt and my 2007 Maryland Mentor badge with my name on it. |
