2007 Galileo Robot Information and Pictures

My intent of this thread is to gather information for as many robots as we can for everyone to benefit from.
Please try to keep chatter and discussion to a minimum, just robot information please.
So, lets hear information about your robot. Please be honest about you robot and say what it does, not what it could do.
Here's a start:

Team 173 - RAGE
Picture: http://www.ragerobotics.com/gallery/...serialNumber=2
4ft 118.6lbs
Drivetrain:
2-speed Andymark Shifters
10ft/s in high gear, 5ft/s in low
6 wheel drive with kit Andymark wheels
ground clearance is about 1.5" (I've never really measured)

Arm:
270º turntable
Arm extends to all three spider levels, full extends in about 2 seconds

Gripper:
Pinch grip pneumatic jaws that fold all the way back.
3 position wrist.

What does your robot do?

Re: 2007 Galileo Robot Information and Pictures

Team 229 - Division by Zero
Picture: scoring & ramps
4ft 116.5lbs
Drivetrain:
2-speed Andymark Shifters
9.8ft/s in high gear, 3.8ft/s in low
4" IFI traction wheels in a 6-wheel drive, lower wheel centered, configuration
ground clearance is ~ 1.5"

Arm:
high jointed arm which reaches all three spider legs

Gripper:
Roller gripper with top and bottom rollers independently powered to allow tube pickup, rotation (over 270 degrees), and release.
2 position pneumatic wristto allow tube pickup, and tube "stowing"

Ramps:
Two fold out ramps that allow two robots to raise themselves 13.5" from the playing field surface, these have never been climbed in competition

Re: 2007 Galileo Robot Information and Pictures

Team 1991 - The Wikibot Dragons (The Dragons for short)
Picture: http://www.uhsserobotics.com/marketing.doc (includes pictures)
4 ft. 120.0 lbs

Drivetrain:
4 small CIMs with 4 BaneBots 56mm planetary gearboxes
AndyMark Mecanum wheels
ground clearance > 3" (more like 4ish)

Can climb ramps the wide way only (requires around 36" of ramp width)
Plays WICKED defense (have prevented high scoring teams that usually score 5-6 in a match from scoring at all). The mecanum helps with this.
Fast. Not sure on measurements in ft/s, but I can get this info and edit it in later.

Ramp:
1 ramp with extended platform of over 12 ft.
Ramp at 14.5" No chance of loss of points due to sag
Requires 2" of clearance minimum to climb
Has side rails to prevent driving off of ramp/platform
Has been climbed numerous times in competitions, including by high scoring teams like 25.

So in short, a large aircraft carrier with a wicked defense and mecanum. We can EASILY hold 2 bots (we have actually fit 3 at 14.5", and 1 partly up the ramp at 4" :p ... but thats besides the point. Our highest score in a match was 316, and we were AGAINST one of the winners of the philly regional!

Any other questions?
Jacob

Gripper:
