Championship Woodie Flowers Award - announced on Friday during Opening Ceremonies

All attendees of the FIRST Championship,

The Championship Woodie Flowers Award will be announced during Friday's opening ceremonies in Atlanta. This event starts at 8:30am.

This year's Finalist winners along with the Finalist winners from 04, 05, and 06 are all eligible for this award.

Please share this information with your team. If your team has a candidate, please make sure they attend.

Congratulations to all students who wrote essays and all mentors who were nominated for this award.

Great idea, putting the WFA in the opening ceremony. Although the separate WFA ceremony last year was very well done (and looked great on the webcast), its time coincided with activities on other fields -- causing some people to miss it.

No one at the FIRST Championship should miss the Woodie Flowers Award ceremony.

Yup. I am completely surprised no one started a thread about it the moment it was announced. Tsk tsk, you guys should've paid more attention than that. I guess all the truely dedicated folks are at Atlanta right now.

I will give you three hints. He is from IL. He is a game announcer. He likes to wears tie dye.

I would give you more hints, but I don't think you need anymore than that.
