It's so quiet....

...with everyone off to Atlanta....

So! What are the plans of those who haven't gone/aren't going to Atlanta for this weekend?

I've already got plans to spend the night at my friend's house with a bunch of other people, a router, and several X-Boxes.

I might end up watching the finals on Einstein. The alliance pickings will have to wait until they are uploaded somewhere.

I'll be checking CD constantly, whenever I can. My cell phone is going to save me this weekend; text message updates from people in Atlanta *might* just manage to save my sanity. Plus, I've convinced at least one of my teachers to show the webcast during class on Friday...woo. :D

Re: It's so quiet....

well, next year we're going for sure.

too bad about the waiting list... we were 30-40th (also got a new mentor that didn't know when to send it in, we've been lucky these past years)

All i know is we're going to rock IRI :p

I'll be wondering what's going on with the team.
And when I'm not wondering.....I'll be on the phone with them knowing what's happening.

School has started once again....joy -_-"

Re: It's so quiet....

I'll definately be watching the webcasts. Specifically, first day award ceremonies. Our mentor won the Davis Sacramento Woodie Flowers Award and I hear he has a possibility of winning the Championship Woodie Flowers Award even if we aren't there. I'll be rooting for Team 997(spartans), 1983(Skunkworks), and 100(WildHats). Good luck!:D

What time will it be on the West coast when the competition is going on in Atlanta? I hope school doesn't get in the way.

Well, I may be going to classes.... Watching the webcast whenever possible. And I think I there may some school related activities such as a Lacrosse game to watch and a play I should go see.

Re: It's so quiet....

I have no school today and tomorrow so I will probably be checking the webcasts on and off. Does anyone know where we can find the match schedules for all 4 divisions for the 3 days? (Will it be on the FIRST website? will someone be able to upload them to here once they get them?)

Re: It's so quiet....

I have an essay, and two problem set due Friday.
But that will not stop me from watching all I can of the matches in Atlanta.
This is the first time in 4 years I will not be going. :(

Re: It's so quiet....

I'm on spring break this week so I might watch the webcasts, but Friday i'm gonna go see Disturbia with my girl thing (not a g/f yet) and Saturday I should be able to catch the finals on Einstein (I work to 330) then I'm leaving to go to Michigan State at like 7 to hang out with some friends Sat night/Sun.

I'm sick unfortunatly. I was supposed to be in Atlanta this week, and I ended up going to the hospital last night (which was non-conclusive). They have absolutely NO CLUE what I have, but my white blood cell count keeps going up >.<;;

It's kinda depressing... I miss my team!

Re: It's so quiet....

I will be sitting by the computer watching every web cast... our mentor in charge of money didnt tell us until to late that we were prequalified to go to Championships, could have at least got on the waiting list... And the student leaders are being selfish, I understand that they want to go their senior year (next year) but it seems cruel to do that to the seniors on the team this year.

Anyways, to all in Atlanta, have fun, to all of us there only in spirt, dont chew your fingers down to the fist, you need them to type. =D
