Re: Team 1100 laptop

Thank you so much for following up with this! We were going nuts on Saturday trying to find our programming laptop. I'd gone down to the pits during the final matches to retrieve some jackets and other personal effects that had been left there. I took what I could carry out of the pits and went back to the Dome, leaving nothing behind save for our button shirt, a jacket, and a few drinks. When I got back to the stands, I was asked if I had our laptops, and I handed over a backpack with two of them, and also mentioned what was still left down there. I thought the other two laptops were in posession of our scouts, but it turns I was wrong.

I believe one of our other software mentors has already e-mailed you with contact information and the mailing address of the high school. If not, please send me an e-mail (tckma AT charter DOT net) and I will pass that information along to you.

Again, thank you!

And this my friends, is FIRST. If you find something of another teams, you give it back through any means possible. If you lose something at a FIRST competition that is precious to you I'd say you have a better chance of getting it back then from anywhere else.

That is what happens most of the time, but sadly it is not always the case.

Last year at the Israeli regional I had a backpack stolen from our pit containing a digital camera, wallet, memory cards, video tapes and other valuables. Luckily my camcorder and good digital camera were used by team members, and my recording device was connected to the AV system (and I forgot my ipod at home :D ).

I know for a fact that it was stolen and not misplaced, but I won't go into that.

David
