Who's coming to Clarkson for Fall 07?
 

Just wondering who's coming up here for the 07-08 school year, what team your from, and if you plan on being a member of 229.

Sorry, but I had to turn down my offer for admission at Clarkson when Purdue accepted me. Good luck to you guys though next year!

It was an interesting sight this year to be talking to people from the complete opposite climate zone from us in a hotel lobby before Champs this year. Your team has a great sense of humor.

I fell into a similar predicament, except for my acceptance to Florida Tech. Clarskon was my second choice and it came down to the fact of freezing or wearing tank tops and flip flops all year long... :D

But yea, the weather is a bit much in Jan and Feb. But once spring hits, it's like being reunited with a long lost friend.

Clarkson hands out a bunch of 6k/year scholarships to incoming freshman involved in FIRST. There has to be some one on here that has gotten one. I know of one person coming to Clarkson from 71 and I assume he got the scholarship.

I'm coming to Clarkson...every Monday and Wednesday! Though I guess that's to be expected, isn't it? :yikes:

But as for Jake's comment.

Clarkson hands out up to 12 - 6,000 FIRST Scholarships. All you have to do is have participated on a FIRST team in high school.

As for the climate it is a bit cold. I was accepted to FIT, RIT, WPI, RPI, Clarkson (the 5 schools i applied to when i was looking at the) It was a hard choice to make between FIT and Clarkson, but i guess i stuck with clarkson (and the team got stuck with me for another 4 years lol)

If anyone has any questions about the school or would like more information when you do a school tour let a Clarkson team member know and we can try to arrange something for you.

I'll be coming up to Clarkson this year. Unfortunately I was not one of those people who received a scholarship. This is going to be a new experience for me, you know, being 13 hours from home.

I know that Don, one of 545's drivers, will be going to Clarkson. He is looking for a new team to join.
