AutoCAD Mechanical Desktop
 

Am I just mixed up, or did the Inventor download from the Autodesk FIRSTbase site not come with AutoCAD Mechanical Desktop? When I enter the setup program and try to install AutoCAD, it asks me for a CD. I also looked through the downloaded files and couldn't find anything that looked like a Mechanical Desktop installer.

I'm pretty sure the download from the Autodesk FIRSTBase does not include mech. desktop. I say this because I have the installer on my flash drive, and based on the size of it, not much more than Inventor could be there. I could be wrong but..... I highly doubt it.

Isn't mechanical desktop supposed to come with Inventor though? What possible reason could Autodesk have for not including it? I seem to remember it being on the CD's that came with the KOP last year.

I emailed a member of the autodesk team. i did not recieve Mechanical Desktop when i downloaded it. The responce i got was that they had to make it a seperate package because they were to large together. Here is the link she gave me.

What you have to do it sign in to FirstBase.com and then insert the URL into the top bar. This will atomatically start the download.
