i dont know about the best song but the funnest song would be the YMCA or you cant touch this(for personal reasons)

ZOMG!!!

Is this song used in In The Groove (1).... Seems almost exactly the same, slightly modified, but definitely the same premise. I couldn't tell you which song (I don't have ITG on here), but It's one of the two (or is it three?) demo songs (perhaps utopia?).

Non-coherent post.... I haven't slept in a while. Maybe I'll do that now.

I don't think so.. I'm a bit of an ITG nut and I can't really think of any song with that in it. Legacy by Kyle Ward/KaW (in the credits on ITG2) has a somewhat similar theme in the main melody, but that's the only one I can think of that's close..

The two demo songs are Utopia and Dawn. Dawn definitely isn't it, but Utopia's piano theme at the beginning is kind of close too.

Heard that on the webcast from GTR 2005 or 2006, and was hooked on the song and spent months looking for it even posting here to get the name of it.

Awesome song by an awesome artist.

I guess that could be considered techno.

So, I'll go with Take On Me - by either A-Ha (original artist), or Reel Big Fish (ska cover) for a "normal song" or, You Spin Me Right Round by Dead Or Alive. That one always gets a reaction from myself and others.

I just downloaded the ITG demo (the mac version has 3 demo songs... go figure), and yeah the part I was thinking of was the piano part at the beginning of Utopia. But it sounds less than Streamline than I thought.

i dont really have a "favorite" but i do think that the Cha Cha Slide gets a lot of participation! ;] along with the macarena and YMCA of course

My Favorite song at Finger Lakes was Thunderstruck by AC/DC. The intro is amazing.

To agree with those above me, Sandstorm is an awesome techno song.

By the way if anyone's heard the song from the laser dance scene in Ocean's Twelve they know how good it is. I think that should be played.

Sandstorm was good, but then it got overplayed...

My favorite song at FRC competitions has to be Sirius by The Alan Parson Project.

Not really sure of favorite Techno/Trance song. I've got a lot on my compy that they never play, and yet are far better than Sandstorm. (Blast the Speakers by Warp Brothers, for example)

I just joined robotics this year for the 08-09 season and I couldn't stop humming this song since the Virginia FTC competition and ever since November I've been looking for it

I like the Rocky Theme Music and of course Explosive from Bond

I wish they would play "In the Air Tonight" (The Remakde from nonpoint) more often at regionals, if at all
