What is cool to do on an extra day near Ramp Riot area if I end up staying over Saturday night? I'm looking for stuff close-ish (15-20 miles or less away) and that would be fun and open on Sundays. (And if possible, in the general direction of my travel back to CT)
I have no idea the geography of PA other than I know Philadelphia is kinda close?
Anyways... if anyone has any good ideas, let me know.

Elgin:

Center City Philly is 40 minutes in the opposite direction of CT, but definitely worth the trip. One thing I can think of right off hand is that the Art Museum is open on Sunday and if you enter before noon the admission is "pay as you wish". There are also a ton of other things to do in Philly. Definitely check it out.

To All Ramp Riot Supporters:

Ramp Riot Promo in Your Community
Attached is a standard promo sheet for Ramp Riot 2007. Please feel free to circulate this and help us promote this event. Please feel free to use Ramp Riot to your advantage. Many area teams are on the road all year and this is their only home game.

Take this opportunity to invite your sponsors, potential sponsors, school administrators, your students, your families, and your community. One of our goals is to help teams inspire younger kids to get involved. Please feel free to send this circular to your elementary schools, etc.
Lets fill the stands with excited kids!!

Ramp Riot Spirit
Our mission with Ramp Riot is to simulate the feeling of attending a regional, for the benefit of our rookie members. So please feel free to bring all of your banners, displays, spirit items, and buttons. Ramp Riot is about celebrating FIRST and our participating teams, please make this YOUR event!

Re: Ramp Riot 2007: The Official Thread

To All Ramp Riot Teams:

Two notes about honoring Mike Wade and his contributions to FIRST.

1) Ceremony to Honor Mike Wade
We will be holding a special ceremony after the lunch break to honor Mike. We ask that all teams stop what they are doing, make their way to the stands, and participate in this important acknowledgement. He gave so much to FIRST and to the entire circuit of off-season events. It is a sign of respect that we stop everything for Mike.

2) Food Collection and the Mike Wade Memorial Award
We could think of no better way to honor Mike than to name the annual food drive award after him. It will forever be our most important award. Hundreds of families benefit from your food donations. This year's collection will go towards Thanksgiving meals for area families in need.

Please do the following in honor of Mike:
Collect as many canned food items as possible for drop off at Ramp Riot. (We will count these by team for the award.) Cans will be collected in the morning and delivered to the Mattie Dixon Community Cupboard by 2:00PM that day.
Giving to others as Mike gave to us is the best way that we can think of to honor Mike's memory.

We also encourage individual visitors to bring canned goods in the spirit of giving to others.
Thank you for participating.

You could also cut through Jersey on your way back up and find something random to do with teams from Jersey  I mean, it's the same time as going back home for ya... not that I would know lol. Plus, road trips are AMAZING!!!!!

Just like last year, there will be an AndyMark table in the commons area, where people will be able to see AndyMark parts. We'll have our standard stuff, and some new stuff.

New stuff:

6" mecanum wheel (oooh, aaah)
Super Shifter
Dualie Spacer for aluminum omni wheels
8" Performance Wheel w/ bearing bore
more sprockets (smaller plate sprockets for 25 and 35 series chain)

Also, it will be nice to catch up with many friends.

Sincerely,
Andy
