:O
I seem to be unable to locate Israel on that map. Can anyone help me? |
Re: pic: 2007 Competitions Mapped
Interesting to see the East vs. West difference.

Re: pic: 2007 Competitions Mapped
Wow, I never really thought about the fact that alot of the regionals are in the northeast.

Re: pic: 2007 Competitions Mapped
Where's Hawaii?

Re: pic: 2007 Competitions Mapped
Given the fact that this is a static image of a customized map, and couple that with the hint at TBA, I'm going to guess that it's a snapshot of a new TBA feature. I'm hard pressed to imagine that Greg completely forgot about Hawaii, Brazil and Israel...

huh, it's almost as if the regional locations are somehow related to the population density of the US....

Just maybe...... haha but you also have to think that FIRST was started in the northeast so it only makes sence that there would be more there. |
Re: pic: 2007 Competitions Mapped
Two interesting maps. Superposition suggests possible growth targets for FIRST: North Carolina, Tennessee, a second regional in Texas (San Antonio or Dallas?), Salt Lake City, maybe Boise, perhaps Albuquerque, and so on ... many places have enough people -- so as Jane says it is just a matter of time.:)

Developing FLL and FTC programs, finding sponsors/developing partnerships, finding/building support within the education systems and with the politicians, money, then money, then money....then there's networking, that very very powerful aspect of the success of FRC teams - something I think many teams don't realize or tend to take for granted.
Development, innovation, commitment. Those types of things - but it'll come, I have no doubt. There are some awesome teams in these states just not large amounts of them. |
