Where to find cheap networking stuff

Anyone know where I can find low priced networking equipment such as routers and wireless cards? I need a router for my dorm room and i do not need anything fancy. Thanks

Well I have a Wireless Linksys Router =) about as cheap as you can find lol.....Seriously I do have a router that I'm not using. It's a Wireless G 4 Port Switch. User Programmable through any Internet Web Browser - Firefox, IE, etc....

Let me know if you want it and I'll see how much it will be for shipping.

If you need PC Cards as well I think I may have a few lying around - For Laptops I'm not sure.

Why I have all this you ask - B/C I like to be upgraded in everything =). And Besides I use the Verizon FIOS Modem Anyway.....

I'll get back to you within an hour or so with what I have definitely.

Ok heres a list of things - The Wireless Box was in front of me lol.

Router -
Linksys Wireless G Broadband Router w/ Speed Booster & 4 Port Switch. Less then a year or two old. - FCC: Q87-WRT54GV2

PC Cards -
Linksys Wireless B PCI Adapter S/W V1.1 -FCC:PKW-WMP11-V27
Linksys Wireless B PCI Adapter S/W V2.0 -FCC:Q87-WMP11V4
Linksys Wireless G PCI Adapter S/W V1.2 -FCC:PKW-WMP54GV2
Linksys Wired PCI Adapter (10/100) - LNE100TX

Laptop Cards -
Linksys Wireless G Notebook Adapter - FCC:PKW-WPC54G-2
Linksys Wireless G Notebook Adapter w/ Speed Booster - FCC:Q87-WPC54GSV2

All Equipment as I look at it now appears to have its software attached to it if not the updated versions can be d/l from Linksys's Website excpet the 10/100 LAN Card. I don't remember where I got it from but it's here in my box of "goodies" lol. Wireless Antennas seem to be in good repair and the Parts itself haven't been used all that much but I'll do my best to make sure all is working well before sending it out and they WILL NOT be in their original packaging but I have plenty of Bubble Bags and Bubble wrap to take care of that problem / As well as ESD approved Bubble Envelopes.

-OR-

You can go to staples and see if they have the Router/PC or Router/Laptop Card combos for sale which the prices aren't half bad. And with back to school around the corner I'm pretty sure they'll be some deals and steals in the works.

If you're looking for new stuff, try Newegg (http://www.newegg.com/ ). They're reasonably cheap, fast, and have pretty good service from all I hear.

I don't know much about Trendnet, but Buffalo uses a lot of the same components as more expensive Linksys routers.

Watch the specials in the Sunday paper as well. You can often get networking equipment for very cheap after rebate.

My friend was looking for a router himself for his college dorm and Nintendo WII and got the CompUSA Trendnet and likes it. . . Not great range but what do you expect for FREE.

www.dealspl.us (Deals Plus) is a great website that shows deals that different stores are currently having. There is always a bunch of cheap wireless cards, routers, and hard drives on there
