But most importantly, it's good to CAD out designs that have been keeping you awake at night. You sleep better afterwards.

Good point. Although I don't know how to use CAD software, I find myself in my bed, graph paper and pencil in hand, sketching out something that has been lingering in my head for a while.

Yep. I knew that. That's why I never design the way the gearbox mounts to a frame until the build season. That way it's not "complete" until it's legal to be "complete."

Rule wording is fun.
