My husband and I were on the list as well, as were at least 4 other attorneys from my office (I work for the Chief State's Attorney's Office). I subscribed for the one year of free credit protection that the state was offering. It was quick and easy. I did it all on line through the website listed above.

This exact same thing happened in Florida, a little while ago. Someone got our credit card number, but we canceled so everything was fine. Just keep an eye on your bills, for unauthorized expenses. We were billed with like 4 ps3s lol. Just take some minor precautions for a while.
