Twit At Nats
Has any one thought about inviting Twit to nats this/any year. Getting over about keeping the show highly clean and what not(not saying Leo makes dirty shows, but you know.) I think it would be awesome to go into one of the conference rooms or even in the middle of the pits at nats to watch a live round table Twit.

2) "Nationals" is such a 20th Century name. It's been called "the Championship event" since before any of the current set of students joined FRC teams. |

While it would be some good exposure, most of the TWiT panelists are west coasters. Maybe ask them to a California regional as well/instead, they would be far more likely to actually go.
That is unless you were to pay their way to the Championship.:p And I don't think any of us really has enough spare cash laying around to do that. |

I would agree, though--you want to make it as easy as possible for them to get there. For even better chances, tag-team with the regional committee in question. |

Re: Twit At Nats
Just a little background:
Leo Laporte was one (of several) former TechTV employees. He used to host his own (and i'm pretty sure was on) a few of their tv shows, along with other famous names such as Kevin Rose. However, when TechTV sold their company to G4, a lot of things changed, including many of the people who worked there, the format of the shows, and the over general direction of the network. At that time, Leo, along with many others, parted with the network and began their own freelance work. Leo's most notable is the "TWiT" (This Week in Tech) Podcast. Anybody who used to watch TechTV would be able to recognize Leo's name, especially if they kept up with his work post TechTV era. |
Re: Twit At Nats
Woz is also a guest TWiTer before and he's been a judge for a few years as far as I know, kind of far fetched but I'd definetly be there if it happened.
