or perhaps "ringer" refers to a game peice, and the game is a smaller version of Rack'N'Roll

I think the game will be a word-game resembling Boggle.

A bunch of letters will be dumped on the playing field and the teams will have to arrange them into words to create a nonsensical limerick.

You get bonus points if your limerick superficially appears to make some sense; but really doesn't.

You earn a perfect score if all the referees and judges at the event each come up with different interpretations of your limerick's intent.

;) :)

Quoits is a ring toss game, which starts with 'Q'

This hint is slightly disturbing for those of us on 190 who are designing this year's Savage Soccer game, namely that we selected our game this past Tuesday...and it has been referred to as game "Q" since a week ago today...

We are also a team from Worcester, and we are just as lost as everybody else!

maybe the FTC committee saw your game and realized how close the two were so they decided to play off of you guys and your game for our hint?

No one in this thread has yet to mention "Q" from James Bond, who was the head of fictional British Secret Service division that designed all wicked sweet gadgets in the movies/novels.

That theory might explain the Deloreans that I've been seeing apparently pop out of nowhere lately...

There is also another possiblity. As a programmer, most languages begin counting at zero. With this in mind, it would make the 17th letter an 'R' as in 'Rack and Roll'

Does anyone have any idea how "Old Worcester" relates to the game?

Hm. Maybe your team has to collect random pieces to a switch that kills power to the opposing teams' bots, and put them together.
