If you were to make interchangeable, do they both need to be weighed/sized (as in, they can BOTH fit on the robot to be sized, and the sum of their weights + the rest of the robot is < 115)?

Official answer - Mike Martus

ALL possible configurations need to pass all rules that include safety, added materials list, size, weight and of course official parts list/quantity.

When you are inspected and weighed (pre-event) we are certifying that you meet the rules with that configuration at that time.

If you change configurations at any time during the event you will need to be re-inspected to be legal.

Re-inspection may not be possible as the inspectors are also the ref's and time may not allow.

If you put a robot in play that has not been weighed or inspected your team will be disqualified.

That being said.... you may be putting your team in a bad position.
