Class of 2008 !
I was working on my Purdue application, and wondered where the rest of the class of 2008 FIRSTers are applying.
So class of 2008, where are you applying, & what do you want to major in? |
Re: Class of 2008 !
I've applied to the University of Michigan, Michigan Tech, and Kettering.
Because of my time in robotics, I want to major in Engineering, probably electrical or computer to be specific. |
Re: Class of 2008 !
I'm applying at:
Cedarville University, OH (first choice) Worcester Polytechnic Le Tourneau University, TX Most likely major: Mechanical Engineering |
Re: Class of 2008 !
Im applying to Baylor University in Waco, Texas To start pre-medical :D
Then i will apply to BCU (Baylor college of medicine [Not in any way related to Baylor Univeristy]) Then i will do my residency followed by specialization hopefully this all leads to becoming a Cardiologist or a Cardiac Surgeon. If applying to Baylor does not work out then i will accept an invatation to an honors colledge in Louisiana. |

Re: Class of 2008 !
I'm applying to:
-UC Berkley -Cal Poly (San Luis Obisbo) -UC Davis I'm probably going to major in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Design, or something else engineering related. It depends on which universtiy I go to. So many people from my team go to Davis that if I went there we'd probably have to move the whole team :D But seriously, we're acumulating quite a cheering section... |

I'm looking at applying to several places.
Purdue Drexel UNH UConn RPI WPI MIT (doubt I'll get in, though... one can hope!) I'll either major in Mechanical Engineering or Electrical Engineering. |
Re: Class of 2008 !
Good luck to everyone that are applying for colleges. As you are going through your list to apply for colleges, please also put down "Apply for FIRST Scholarships." As Genia pointed out in the "2008 FIRST Scholarships" thread, I believe FIRST will post a list of scholarships available in October. Keep in mind, when you get to college, no matter how rich you are, you will be struggling for money. Even if it's a $100 scholarship, apply for it, money adds up REAL fast.

Re: Class of 2008 !
I'm applying to:
University of Texas at Dallas - First Choice Texas Tech - Second Choice University of Houston - Third Choice I have teams lined up for UTD and TTU if I get into one of them... If I am binded by Houston then I will see about taking a small role in a team within an hours drive... What I want to major in: Electrical Engineering, but I also might minor in CS (if UTD) or possibly even dual degree. Pavan. |
Re: Class of 2008 !
I've been offered a half scholarship to RPI, but I have to get into the school first.

applying to,
UCF, UF, FIT Hopefully mechanical engineering |
Re: Class of 2008 !
As a proud Purdue grad, I'm encouraged by the number of out-of-staters looking at the Old Gold and Black. In addition to being a top-5 engineering/technology school (as well as being a pharmacy, business management, agriculture, and veterinary science mecca), I should hope the Boilermaker Regional has swayed some apps as well. Best regional in Indiana!
