In Match 11, Team 95 demonstrates the coolest way to displace an opponents trackball from the overpass ever. They literally catapult their ball into the bottom, sending it flying off the field.

We're doing well today.
Right now we're in 6th.
We're having a great time so far, we're really excited about tomorrow.
Dean Camen coming was nice, I was surprised to hear that he was in Florida too :O That's quite a trek in one day.

Good luck to everyone tomorrow!

Re: 2008 Connecticut Regional - pictures

Sorry for posting a new thread on the Connecticut Regional, I didn't see this thread yesterday as I didn't look way down the page. Anyhow here are pictures from the first three days of the CT Regional. They are hosted on my FTC teams The Weaver High School Beaver Bots website http://www.beaverbots.com/events.htm but I am supplying direct links here.

Friday's qualification rounds are here along with the visit by Dean and also Gov. Rell, about a thousand pictures in the gallery, use the slideshow function and just let them run until you see yourself or a friend, your friend doesn't have to be human...http://www.beaverbots.com/ct_frc/qualifications/

Thursday's pictures from the first day of practice sessions and other facets of the event.
http://www.beaverbots.com/ct_frc/practices/

Wednesday's pictures from the setup and volunteer prep sessions.
http://www.beaverbots.com/ct_frc/

I will post Saturday's pictures in this post also.

Hope the pictures are worth the effort.
peace

SF1 should be good.
Most likely it will be:

1124 175 716
vs
195 126 173

semifinal 1, absolutely incredible

even with gaelforce out for half the match....what a showing by buzz, uberbots, cybernights and gaelforce

142 for red-42 for blue, blue alliance had 40 points in penalties

1124 and 175 had amazing robots this year. 1124 did not lose a match throughout the whole tournament, what a showing!

We ended up losing in the semi finals, along with 383 the Brazil team and 549. The Brazil team was an amazing alliance partner and an amazing robot. They used an omni wheel drive system, and they made the wheels themselves! Now THAT'S impressive. 549 was a great defensive bot that almost helped carry us into the finals. Our bot was very solid and we hope to make another good showing in 2 weeks at Long Island.

Congratulations one and all!

I believe those are mecanum wheels. And their robot looked eerily familiar.;)

Even though I just went to watch, I wanted to extend congratulations to the winning alliance of 1124, 175, and 716! And also to 126 for winning EI!

I also thought it was pretty cool that all the coaches on the alliance of 195, 126, and 173 were all former students of their respective teams!:ahh:

See y'all either in Boston or ATL!

I'll believe it when I see it.

T-Shirt weather for the CT regional.... (even at night?!?!?!?) :ahh:

Well... I guess I'm a believer now.

It made for very nice weather at night after the competition was over in downtown Hartford while strolling out for some dinner.
Horray for no sign of snow this past weekend!

I have to agree - great weather for our Fire Ball (the social.)

Last year we had nearly nobody due to the snow but this year we had a turnout of 220+

Hopefully next year we can break 300!

Thank you to all our opponents, and special thanks to team 126 for lending us parts. Teams 1124 and 175 did an incredible job, it was truly an honor to be on your alliance. Thank you so much.
