Great job all!

Thank you 1089 for that usb-serial cable, you saved us a ton of hassle.

383 549 Great job in the elimination rounds, we didn't win it, but we gave them a run for there money :D

For those who weren't there, the Connecticut Regional was "buzzing" with media and political attention. The State Attorney General, Richard Blumenthal, gave a speech on Friday. Congressional Representatives Joe Courtney and Chris Murphy spoke on Saturday. Both Dean and Woodie made appearances and drive teams were constantly flanked by television crews.

Everyone did a great job with Dean's homework this year.

And don't forget our Governor Jodi M. Rell, and a news crew from NBC 30 were there was well!

Awesome, I must have been in the pits when the governor was there. I also know that Channel 3 broadcasted live for 30 mins!! New England Cable News also had a long segment.

Thank you to EVERYONE at Connecticut for helping to provide such a great first time experience for our team. We had a wonderful experience and are in a slight state of shock about Rookie All-Star. We are gearing up for Atlanta though and are excited to meet more teams and gain more experience.

We were wowed by all the amazing robots in Connecticut and the ingenuity shown by all the teams, along with dedication. 2104's constant work on their robot the entire time was inspiring - and paid off for them Saturday when they successfully ran.

We couldn't have done it without all the teams so quick to supply help and materials - thank you a million times over. Special thanks to Gaelforce #126, for letting us borrow anything and everything, along with checking in to see how things were going a few times. We learned a TON from everyone there!

Thank you 1124 for selecting us and leading an awesome alliance! I am glad your scouts were watching us play as our rankings did not show our capability. Thank you 175 for being a great partner! Welcome back to the CT Regional!

Congrats to Team 236 for Chairman's (again! good luck at the Championship) and Team 126 for Engineering Inspiration.

Congrats also to Ernie for Woodie Flowers, I have known you a long time and you certainly deserved this award.

Special thanks to Team 126 for the sprockets for our arm lift.

During eliminations, I was asked to wear a wireless mic while coaching by one of the media/production companies. Anyone know what this was for?

(Hopefully nothing too important, I'm sure no one wants to hear my incessant "ball over there", "swap up on D, jeff", and "OMG watch out for that wall!" )

Both myself (driver coach) and one of our drivers did the same thing. We also had a camera crew follow us around during our driver/strategy meeting in quals. I'm not sure where either of the crews were from.

There were several film crews on scene throughout the Regional. Several were there from the news channels. One was filming for the Connecticut Science Center. One was filming for the 24 hour Global Marathon project (National Engineers Week).

There were people there from a number of print publications as well.

Thank you to the teams who have done their homework, and to the planning committee members who have also been diligently contacting our politicians and media.

FINALLY we got 'em there!

I'm a bit bias here... But does anyone remember the awsome hand-off in our last match from RAGE-173. They don't score High this year, so after we hurdled the other ball they were behind us holding the second ball so we backedup and they dropped the ball into out lift and we then went to hurdle it. Unfortunalty we needed a few more seconds for the piston to fill, so is was a perfect ending. But is was an aswome pass none the less.

Congrats to all the winners... Congrats to Uberbots for also going undefeated. We did that two years ago in Vegas (until the semifinals that is)so We know how hard that is to achieve that. Great Robot - both you and Buzz made us work hard!!!

Good luck going forward to everyone. We are heading to New Orleans and our team is setting up the webcast there as well, so please tune is and chear us on.

I tried sending you a PM, and it said you don't accept them. Send me one, and I'll get you in touch with a member of 1991 who posts on these forums.

That move did not go unnoticed by Buzz. Was totally unexpected (by me) while watching that match. Rage is a great team, and they are always on top of their game.:) :)

Same here. What they told me was that they were following five teams at our regional for a video for the new Connecticut Science Center. They also interviewed Dean Kamen on Friday, and they may have interviewed Woodie on Saturday, but I didn't see them doing that one.
